Uzbek weightlifters took second place at the tournament in Qatar, the NOC press service reports.
The 10th Qatar Weightlifting Cup international tournament concluded in Doha (Qatar). In the prestigious competition, which brought together the strongest athletes from nearly 30 countries, the Uzbekistan national team performed successfully.
During the tournament, representatives of the Uzbekistan team won 24 medals — 4 gold, 15 silver, and 5 bronze — and took second place in the overall team standings. On December 28, the compatriots returned to Tashkent.
As a reminder, the Uzbek athlete previously won a gold medal at a equestrian tournament in Abu Dhabi. Bekzod Kurbonov achieved this success on the route with 135 cm of obstacles.
