Uzbek fighter won bronze at tournament in Turkey
Musa Aymuratov lost to one of the hosts in the semi-final.
Uzbek fighter Musa Aymuratov won a bronze medal at the Istanbul Satellite tournament in Turkey, the NOC press service reports.
Satellite series saber fencing competitions were held in Istanbul. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team took part in them. Musa Aymuratov managed to win a bronze medal.
In the qualifying round, our compatriot defeated opponents from Austria, Turkey, and Italy, and in the quarterfinals, he defeated our national team representative Sardor Abdukarimbekov. However, in the semifinals, Aymuratov lost to one of the hosts and ultimately took third place.
Recall that Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the head of UWW with the “Dustlik” Order. Nenad Lalović received the award for her personal contribution to the development and support of mass sports and martial arts in Uzbekistan.
