Uzbek athletes won 6 medals at the World Judo Championships

Athletes from Uzbekistan won 6 medals at the World Judo Championships, the NOC press service reports.
According to the information, the event took place in Peru. The national team took part in the individual judo competition among young people. In particular, in the heavyweight category, the athletes managed to win 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
In addition, in the over 78 kg weight category, Umida Nigmatova, as well as Alisher Samanov in the -90 kg category and Muhammadali Zoirov in the -100 kg category, also managed to win bronze medals. Thus, the national team finished the competition with 1 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan became the leader among the Central Asian countries at the III CIS Games. The national team managed to win 119 medals.
