Uzbek athletes took second place in the team standings at the Asian Youth Games

The national team representatives won 11 medals.

Athletes from Uzbekistan won 11 medals in a single day at the III Asian Youth Games “Bahrain-2025”, the NOC press service reports.

According to the information, the Uzbekistan delegation concluded another day of competition by winning 3 gold, 1 silver, and 7 bronze medals in one day in areas such as taekwondo, MMA, athletics, and muay thai. Thus, as of October 26, the national team is in second place in the overall standings after China, with 9 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze medals.

In particular, in the -50 kg weight category, Avaz Anvarov, and in the -73 kg weight category, Ahadjon Mukhtorov, and in the -55 kg weight category, Rushanahon Ravshanova brought gold medals to the country’s collection. Ibrohim Botirov won silver in the MMA competition in the -55 kg weight category. The bronze awards were distributed as follows:

  • Kamronbek Kodirov (MMA, -65 kg);
  • Abdulboriy Abdugafurov (MMA, -70 kg);
  • Shodiyona Rakhmonova (athletics, 400 m hurdles);
  • Abdurahmon Mamajonov (athletics, long jump);
  • Doston Abduvaliyev (muay Thai, -45 kg, U15);
  • Shahruz Davronov (muay Thai, -60 kg, U17);
  • Jasmina Ochilova (muay Thai, -54 kg, U17).

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan’s wrestlers excelled at the World U-23 Championships. The athletes won bronze and silver.
