Uzbekistan’s grandmasters Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javohir Sindarov were among the top ten chess players with the highest awards in 2025.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov took ninth place in the prize rankings, competing in 16 major international tournaments and earning $361,800. The Uzbek grandmaster’s highest honorarium for a single tournament was $85,000.
In the tenth place is Javokhir Sindarov. In 2025, he participated in 11 international competitions and earned $349.9 thousand, with his maximum prize in one competition reaching $120 thousand.
Norwegian grandmaster Magnus Carlsen became the world leader in terms of total prize money. He participated in 16 tournaments and became the only chess player whose prize income exceeded $1 million – $1.46 million.
