The Uzbekistan national team defeated Iran in the final of the Al Ain International Cup international tournament.
The main time ended in a draw — 0:0, despite Husanov being sent off in the 69th minute. In the second half, Uzbekistan’s coaching staff made several changes: in the 64th minute, Jamshid Iskanderov and Hojimat Erkinov, later — Akmal Mozgovoy and Rustam Ashurmatov came on.
The winner was determined in the penalty shootout. Iran scored three out of five shots, while Uzbekistan made four attempts and secured the final victory — 4:3. Thus, the Uzbekistan national team became the champion of the tournament.
As a reminder, the US may not allow fans from Uzbekistan to attend the World Cup. A match ticket will not serve as a visa, and the visa procedures will not be simplified
