The Uzbekistan national team has risen in the FIFA rankings
The country's national team remains the leader among Central Asian countries.
The Uzbekistan national team has risen one position to 54th place in the updated FIFA rankings, according to the association.
According to the information, statistics showed such a result compared to July 2025. At the same time, compared to other countries, the Uzbekistan national team is the strongest in Central Asia. In the world, the country’s national team managed to surpass the teams of Africa, Ireland, and the UAE.
In general, the countries of Central Asia are located as follows:
- Tajikistan – 104th place;
- Kyrgyzstan – 106th place;
- Kazakhstan – 118th place;
- Turkmenistan – 138th place.
The association’s ranking consists of 210 teams, with Spain, France, and Argentina leading the way. The San Marino team closes the rankings.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbek clubs would be paid for players participating in the 2026 World Cup. In total, FIFA will allocate over $350 million for financial bonuses.
