The UFA commented on information about the salary of the new Uzbekistan national team coach
According to the organization's first vice president, Fabio Cannavaro approached it based on available resources.
UFA First Vice-President Ravshan Irmatov commented on rumors about the salary of the new head of the national football team, Fabio Cannavaro, Gazeta.uz reports.
The media reported that 3.5−4 million euros are planned to be allocated annually to finance Cannavaro’s coaching staff’s salaries. The 52-year-old specialist, who plays for the Italian national team, initially counted on offers from European clubs or national teams and did not immediately agree to work in Uzbekistan. The Kazakhstan national team has also shown interest in Cannavaro.
Now there’s a lot of talk in the press about salaries: some write 4 million, others — other amounts. In reality, this isn’t even half of that half. If the Uzbekistan Football Association had such financial capabilities, we would have acted quite differently. But, based on our real resources, we chose the most suitable option, — he noted.
According to him, from the point of view of “ethics”, both parties agreed not to disclose the details of the contract.
