Supercomputer assessed Uzbekistan’s chances of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Spain leads the list of favorites.

The Opta supercomputer has released updated forecasts for national football teams’ chances of winning the 2026 World Cup.
According to the system’s calculations, Uzbekistan’s chances are estimated at only 0.2% — one of the lowest positions in the tournament. Spain leads the list of favorites with a score of 17%. France (14.1%) and England (11.8%) followed. The current world champion — Argentina — took only fourth place with a probability of 8.7%.
Uzbekistan, which will compete in the world championship for the first time, ended up among the teams with minimal chances. Analysts gave similar indicators to Iran, Australia, Tunisia, Scotland, and South Africa. Experts note that more than half of the participants (26 national teams) have a 1% chance of winning the tournament.
As a reminder, the US may not allow fans from Uzbekistan to attend the World Cup. A match ticket will not serve as a visa, and the visa procedures will not be simplified
