One of the Formula-1 stages could take place in Uzbekistan
Tashkent is striving to become a regional center of motorsport.

Uzbekistan could become one of the main venues for hosting the Formula 1 World Championship stage, reports Dunyo citing British sports journalist Joe Soward.
The journalist said that on the sidelines of the Singapore Grand Prix, representatives of some Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, discussed the possibility of holding the Formula-1 stages in their countries and stated that Tashkent is striving to become a regional center of motorsport.
Joe Sward said that there are rumors about potential races in Thailand, South Korea, and Uzbekistan, which, in his opinion, reflects the growing interest in motorsport in these countries, and noted that Tashkent considers international competitions as part of the strategy of modernizing and promoting the country on the world stage.
It is noted that the country’s government has also shown significant interest in the field of motorsport, taking on the financing of the FIA General Assembly to be held in Tashkent in December 2025. The British journalist also noted that the interest in Formula 1 corresponds to the country’s course towards developing sports infrastructure and strengthening its international image.
Earlier, it was reported that the Rally Championship was held in Uzbekistan. The Tashkent city administration announced the results of the competition.
