Uzbeks will know where their taxes are spent
The authorities will launch online reporting on personal income tax, property tax, and land tax expenses.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved new measures to increase tax collection in Uzbekistan, according to a presidential decree.
Starting January 2026, a new “Expenditures from Individual Taxes” module will be launched on the “Open Budget” portal in Uzbekistan. It will publish information on the income, property, and land taxes paid by citizens, as well as on how these funds are spent.
Earlier, the authorities clarified that the taxes paid by individuals from income received from the lease of real estate will be fully directed to the budget of the district or city where the object is located. The innovation aims to increase transparency in government spending and inform citizens about how their taxes are being spent.
Recall that in Uzbekistan, it will be prohibited to pay for electricity for debts on certain taxes. The experiment will be conducted in the Namangan region.
