Uzbekistanis paid 158 trillion soums in taxes
The largest amount was given for profit and VAT deductions.

Since the beginning of 2025, citizens have paid 158.7 trillion soums in taxes in Uzbekistan, with profit taxes accounting for the largest share, according to the Tax Committee.
According to the information, compared to the same period in 2024, this indicator increased by 18%. It is noted that the growth in all main types of taxes is associated with the government’s active fight against the shadow economy. At the same time, profit tax amounted to 35.4 trillion soums and value-added tax — 32.5 trillion soums, making up the largest share.
Next were personal income tax revenues — 30.3 trillion soums, which also increased by 19% compared to the same period in 2024. Subsoil use taxes amounted to 16 trillion soums, increasing by 24%, and excise tax — 14.4 trillion soums. The remaining taxes turned out to be:
- taxes on state duties, fees and fines — 13.8 trillion soums;
- land tax — 7.2 trillion soums;
- Property tax — 6 trillion soums,
- turnover tax — 2.4 trillion soums,
- water resource use tax and non-tax revenues — 0.7 trillion soums.
It is noted that the average increase in tax revenues by region was 27% for nine months and 30% in the third quarter. At the same time, Navoi region led in tax payments — 86% of profit came from it, Fergana — 39%, Tashkent — 33% and Syrdarya region — 32%.
Earlier, it was reported that the best tax-paying mahalla in Uzbekistan would be selected. Those who make it into the top 100 will receive funding, as well as 75% of infrastructure costs from the state.
