The Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment of Uzbekistan, Batyr Zahidov, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan, Yusuf bin Salih al-Utaybi.
The parties discussed the results and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres, as well as labor migration issues.
- The Saudi side expressed its readiness to attract at least 20,000 workers from Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Employment presented initiatives to establish training centers for training specialists in care and technical professions in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further expanding cooperation in the field of labor and employment.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan would send 10 thousand nurses and doctors to Great Britain for work. Medical workers are promised a salary of three thousand dollars, career growth, and language training. Earlier, the Labor Migration Agency reported that Uzbekistan had become a strategic partner in the supply of nurses and caregivers for German clinics.
