Uzbekistan entered the top ten largest gold producers in the world
In 2024, the extraction of precious metals accounted for about 3.5% of global production.

Uzbekistan ranked tenth among the world’s largest gold producers, according to the World Gold Council.
According to the information, in 2024, the country produced 129 tons of metal, which amounted to about 3.5% of global volume, thus strengthening its position and entering the top ten largest precious metal producers in the world.
At the same time, China, Russia, and Australia retained the top three, followed by Canada and the USA. It was also noted that global gold production reached 3.6 thousand tons, rising by only half a percent.
Earlier, it was reported that a gold deposit valued at two billion dollars would be sold at auction. Geological exploration work will begin at two additional gold and precious metal deposits.
