Shavkat Mirziyoyev has replaced the presidential representative for protecting the rights and legitimate interests of business entities (the business ombudsman).
Abdumannop Buriyev, a member of the Legislative Chamber of the parliament from the UzLiDeP party, took office. He was born in 1986 in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region.
Prior to his appointment, Abdumannop Buriyev served as a member of the Legislative Chamber’s Committee on Combating Corruption and Judicial-Legal Issues, Head of the Organizational Control and Strategic Planning Department of the Ministry of Justice’s central office, Head of the Fergana Regional Justice Department, and Head of the Organizational Control and Strategic Planning Department of the Ministry’s central office.
The Business Ombudsman is a specially authorized official designated to protect the interests of private businesses, appointed and dismissed by the president. Abdumannop Buriyev will oversee the prevention of illegal interference by state bodies in the activities of entrepreneurs, as well as the proper implementation of laws regulating entrepreneurial activity.
At the end of April, Abdumannop Buriyev spoke in defense of the Testo cafe, which was arbitrarily disconnected by the city administration for disagreeing with the progress of the reconstruction on Sodiq Azimov Street.
