The draft state budget was amended and sent to the Senate
The document also provides for the allocation of 50 billion soums for the creation of interregional hospices.

Deputies of the Legislative Chamber sent a draft law on the state budget of Uzbekistan for 2026 to the Senate, the press service of the lower house of parliament reports.
According to the information, during the preparation of the draft for the second reading, special attention was paid to the financial and economic support of the measures aimed at implementing the directions of the “Uzbekistan—2030” strategy. Taking into account the proposals of the deputies, a number of conceptually significant changes were made to the draft law.
At the suggestion of UzLiDeP party members, 50 billion soums will be allocated to establish interregional hospices in Tashkent and Fergana region for patients diagnosed with advanced stages of oncological and other non-communicable diseases. Such institutions will provide medical and psychological assistance to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as at home — in cases where treatment at home is impossible.
Based on the proposals of the members of the “Milliy Tiklanish” faction, taking into account the changes aimed at ensuring the systematic and sustainable development of the tourism sector as a strategically important sector of the economy, as well as further improving public administration in the industry, it is planned to allocate 194 billion soums from the republican budget to the Tourism Committee.
Based on the proposal of the PDPU and the “Adolat” party factions, an additional 67 billion soums will be allocated to the Children’s Support Public Fund to identify and assist children in difficult life situations and in need of social support.
The Ecological Party faction’s proposal to allocate 24 billion soums to finance socio-economic projects in the Aral Sea region, which are important for improving the global environmental situation, was also supported. The draft law was adopted by the deputies and sent to the Senate.
Earlier, it was reported that the Minister of Economy explained the increase in the state budget deficit. According to Jamshid Kuchkarov, the surplus was maintained due to the lack of borrowed funds from abroad.
