On October 24, the Central Bank decided to leave the key rate unchanged at 14% per annum, the Central Bank’s press service reported.

To ensure medium-term price stability, the Central Bank Board at its regular meeting decided to maintain the key interest rate unchanged at 14% per annum. In September 2025, the overall inflation rate decreased by 0.8% to 8% year-on-year.

Inflation in the food and non-food product group slowed to 6.1% year-on-year, which contributed to its decline. Inflation in the service sector, including without considering the impact of regulated prices, remains higher than overall inflation due to demand factors.

The key interest rate is the main instrument of monetary policy under the inflation targeting regime and represents the target interest rate on monetary operations of the Central Bank with commercial banks.

By changing this rate, the Central Bank determines the monetary conditions necessary to ensure price stability in the economy. It’s worth noting that the rate was last changed in September 2025. Then the Central Bank also kept it at 14% The next meeting will be held on December 11, 2025.
