The authorities plan to improve Tashkent for one hundred billion soums

Tashkent authorities will allocate 126.7 billion soums for the development of the urban environment, infrastructure modernization, and various projects for the improvement of the city, according to the decision of the People’s Deputies Council of the capital.

According to the information, 100 billion soums are planned to be distributed between the “Tashkent Invest” company and the Tashkent Development Fund. An additional 24 billion soums will be allocated by the authorities to upgrade more than 300 kilometers of low-voltage power lines and over 200 transformer substations.

In addition, 12 million soums will be allocated for connecting district councils to the edo.ijro.uz system. The remaining funds are planned to be distributed as follows:

• 621.3 million soums — repair of the “Anhor-2” fountain and drilling of an irrigation well in “Kuksaroy”;
• 518.1 million soums — for holding a festive concert for Defender of the Fatherland Day;
• 500 million soums — equipping the departments of universities affiliated with the Turin Polytechnic University;
• 360 million soums — repayment of the Youth Affairs Agency’s electricity debt;
• 200 million soums — environmental and cadastral documentation for sports grounds in mahallas;
• 154.6 million soums — creation of the Youth Experimental Theater-Studio;
• 90 million soums — for strengthening the material and technical base of technical school №2 in Chilanzar district;
• 70.8 million soums — transportation costs for participants and coaches of the Universiade-2024.

Earlier, it was reported that the Tashkent city administration would allocate 10 billion soums for the purchase and planting of flower seedlings for city squares and streets. The funds will be allocated from the State Budget revenue plan for the first quarter of 2025.
