Social card users will receive cashback for purchases within two days
To expedite the process, the Tax Committee will work in conjunction with the Ministry of Economy and authorized banks.
In Uzbekistan, VAT on purchases made using social cards will be refunded within two days, according to a Cabinet of Ministers decree.
According to the information, cashback will be returned to citizens from low-income families who are included in the Unified Social Protection Registry and pay for purchases using social cards. At the same time, the measure will apply only to the purchase of certain goods and services. In particular, the tax will be refunded for purchases up to 10 BCV (4.12 million soums) made within one month.
The maximum amount will be 494 thousand soums per month, or 12%. It is noted that to expedite the return of funds, the Tax Committee will send an order to the Ministry of Economy on the day the funds are withdrawn from the card, for the amount of tax generated automatically. The agency, in turn, will transfer the money to a special tax account, after which the list of recipients of payments will be sent to the authorized bank, and they will receive cashback within one working day.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbeks will receive trillion soums in cashback for 2025. The largest sums were received by residents of Tashkent and Tashkent region.
