Prices for goods and services have increased in Uzbekistan — statistics

The Statistics Committee revealed which product became more expensive.

In September, prices for goods and services in the consumer sector increased by an average of 0.6%, the State Statistics Committee’s press service reported.

Experts checked approximately 190,000 prices at more than 10,000 retail and service outlets. The monitoring covered prices for 420 types of food and non-food products and 90 types of services. Food prices increased by an average of 0.9%. Non-food goods rose by 0.3%, and paid services to the population — by 0.3%.

Among the main food products, the most impact on inflation was price increases for:

  • tomatoes (16.9%);
  • bell pepper (10.4%);
  • carrots (7.7%);
  • eggs (6.5%);
  • watermelon (5.6%);
  • melons (5.5%);
  • beef without bones (1.8%);
  • beef on bones (1.7%);
  • lamb (1.5%);
  • poultry meat (except chicken thighs) (1.2%);
  • chicken thighs and legs (1,1%);
  • vegetable oils (0.6%);
  • sugar (0.7%).

Among non-food goods, gasoline (1.4%), cement (2.9%), and wedding rings made of precious metals (2.9%) increased in price. In the service sector — visiting museums (8.7%) and driver training courses (5%) — these were the main factors of inflation growth in this sector. The annual CPI was 108%, which is 2.5% lower than in 2024 (110.5%).

As a reminder, products with expiring shelf life will be sold at a lower price. Such products will not be allowed to be displayed next to fresh products.
