Meat prices have risen in Uzbekistan
With the arrival of autumn, some vegetables began to become more expensive.
Otabek Bakirov drew attention to the fact that in Uzbekistan, wholesale prices for meat and some types of vegetables have increased sharply over two days.
The expert noted that compared to September 17, the maximum prices for beef in official sources increased from 98 thousand soums to 115 thousand soums per kilogram. The price of lamb also increased from 105 thousand to 120 thousand soums per kilogram. At the same time, Otabek Bakirov emphasized that it is unknown to which specific categories of meat the maximum price marks belong.
The specialist also drew attention to the fact that with the onset of cold weather in the country, prices for some vegetables have increased. In particular, compared to September 17, the price of a kilogram of bell pepper increased from 20,000 to 30,000 soums, tomatoes — from 12,000 to 14,000 soums, and cucumbers — from 7,000 to 8,000 soums.
Earlier, economist Timurmalik Elmurodov analyzed and noted the reasons why prices in Uzbekistan, despite the fall of the dollar, are not decreasing. The specialist named the main reasons for the cheapening of goods and services.
