In Uzbekistan, the volume of foreign trade turnover increased by almost 20%
China remains the country's largest trading partner, followed by Russia and Kazakhstan.

Since the beginning of 2025, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover has reached $51.4 billion, a 19.8% increase compared to 2024, according to a report by the National Statistics Committee.
According to the information, in the period from January to August, exports reached $22.9 billion, an increase of 31.3%, imports — $28.5 billion, an increase of +11.8%, and the foreign trade deficit amounted to $5.4 billion. It is noted that 75.2% of exports are accounted for by:
- industrial goods – 11.1%,
- food products and live animals – 7.8%;
- chemical substances and similar products – 5.9%;
- mineral fuel, lubricating oils and similar materials – 4.4%.
In the structure of imports, machinery and transport equipment account for the main share or 33.8%. At the same time, the share of industrial goods was 16.1%, services — 10%, and chemical substances and similar products — 12.6%. Currently, Uzbekistan maintains trade relations with 200 countries worldwide. The largest volume of foreign trade turnover is accounted for by China and is 18.9%, followed by Russia with a turnover of 16.1%.
In particular, the trade turnover with China is $9.7 billion, of which $8.45 billion is the import of goods and services, and $1.2 billion is the export of Uzbek products. Trade turnover with Russia is $8.3 billion: imports — $5.43 billion, exports — $2.8 billion. The third place is occupied by Kazakhstan with a turnover of $3 billion.
Earlier, it was reported that according to the IMF’s forecast, the volume of Uzbekistan’s economy could exceed $130 billion in 2025. The Head of State noted that the country had not previously had such a high growth rate and such a high international assessment.
