In Uzbekistan, pensions have begun to be issued by facial scanning

In Uzbekistan, cash payments using Face-ID and electronic signature collection began in October 2025, according to the Pension Fund’s press service.

According to the fund, the system was implemented to ensure the full and timely payment of pensions to citizens. The new measure should help eliminate cases where payments were recorded as made in the Xalq banki reports, while in reality, the funds did not reach the recipient or were transferred to unauthorized persons.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistanis would be able to easily learn about the future pension amount. A special online platform will be launched for evaluation.
