Since the beginning of 2025, food exports in Uzbekistan have grown by 37% and amounted to $3 billion, while, according to experts’ forecasts, this figure should exceed $3.2 billion, the presidential press service reported.

During the meeting of the country’s leader with agricultural workers at the “Kuksaroy” residence, it was noted that the intensive efforts to renew orchards and vineyards, as well as the development of vegetable growing, are yielding noticeable results. In particular, over three years, 155 thousand hectares of orchards and vineyards have been created in the country, and the area of intensive orchards has increased to 150 thousand hectares.

Experts also reported that in 2025, 3.4 million tons of fruits, 2 million tons of grapes, 19.5 million tons of vegetables, melons, and potatoes, as well as 1 million tons of legumes and oilseeds, were grown. It was noted that due to increased yields, as well as maintaining stable prices in the domestic market, agriculture has become the sector that generates the largest foreign exchange earnings after the textile industry.

Thus, since the beginning of 2025, food exports have grown by 37% to $3 billion, and by the end of the year, according to experts’ forecasts, this figure should exceed $3.2 billion for the first time. It was noted that the number of countries to which Uzbekistan supplies fruits and vegetables has increased by 18 and reached 83. Also, the country rose to 3rd place in the world in the export of dried plums and apricots, 7th place in the export of peaches and raisins, 8th place in the export of cherries, and 13th place in the export of grapes.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan would increase product exports through uninterrupted gas supply to greenhouses. Also, the authorities plan to set the social tax rate at 1% by the end of 2028.
