The Ministry of Poverty reduction is demanding more than a billion soums from Air Samarkand for wage arrears

The amount also includes compensation for each day of delay.

The Ministry of Poverty reduction is demanding the recovery of 1.5 billion soums from the private airline Air Samarkand for large salary debts, the ministry’s press service reported.

As of September 30, the agency received about ten applications from air carrier employees. The department filed a lawsuit with the Samarkand City Court for Civil Cases requesting the recovery of the debt, including monetary compensation for each day of delay.

The State Labor Inspectorate filed claims for a total of 1.5 billion soums to recover their unpaid three months’ wages for June-August, — the statement said.

Citizens can address their employment issues through the 1176 or (71) -200−06−00 hotline, as well as through the munosibmehnat_bot Telegram bot.

It’s worth noting that dozens of Russians accused Air Samarkand of delaying salaries. Last year, 75 people were fired against the backdrop of a similar problem. Employees are waiting for their salaries to be paid from June. Some employees, including Russian citizens, have left the company, with only “aviation enthusiasts” remaining. Money isn’t even given for food and rent.
