In Uzbekistan, employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency during inspections revealed violations in three government procurements totaling 1.9 billion soums, the agency’s press service reports.

According to the information, in the first case, specialists discovered violations in the state procurement order of the Urgench Judo Sports School for a total amount of 1.6 billion soums. In the next case, violations of the law were revealed on the order of the engineering company “Yagona kuyumchi khistima” of the Khorezm region khokimiyat for a total amount of 298 million soums.

It was also revealed that the Art Exhibitions Directorate’s order for a total amount of 32.5 million soums violated legislation and restricted competition among participants during the assessment.

As a result, based on the materials collected by the agency’s employees, the procurement commission’s protocols on determining the winner were canceled, which made it possible to prevent the illegal conduct of these state procurements. The documents collected during the study and analysis were sent by specialists to law enforcement agencies for appropriate action.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan Airports had identified violations in public procurement. The documents on this case have been transferred to law enforcement agencies.
