In the Fergana region, several young men raped a 14-year-old girl, “Gazeta.uz” reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The head of the Department for Women’s and Children’s Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nilufar Giyosova, confirmed that on January 10, the Investigative Department under the Uchkuprik District Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 118, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (Rape of a person under 18 years of age). This is punishable by imprisonment from 15 to 20 years.
Giyosova reported that the suspects have been detained and arrested. An investigation has begun. The Children’s Ombudsman’s press service stated that they cannot disclose the details of the criminal case considering the child’s interests. At the same time, the department took the case under control.
Recall that in Surkhandarya, a high school student raped a schoolgirl. DPSE reported that the incident occurred outside the school and that an investigation is underway.
