The Tashkent city administration warned citizens about fraudsters who are deceiving citizens on behalf of the capital’s khokim Shavkat Umurzakov.

According to the department, cases of individuals creating fake accounts on social networks using the name of Tashkent’s khokim Shavkat Umurzakov and sending appeals to citizens have been identified. In these accounts, the khokim’s photo, first and last name are used.

It is reported that all such accounts, which conduct personal correspondence or address various requests and proposals, are counterfeit. Citizens are strongly advised not to trust them and not to interact with them. All of them belong to scammers.

It is specifically emphasized that the Tashkent city khokim or officials related to the khokimiyat do not send personal messages to citizens for the purpose of appealing. In the event of opening an official page or communication channel, information about this will be published in advance only through the official information channels of the khokimiyat’s press service.

Do not share your personal data with unauthorized individuals, and report suspicious messages and accounts to the relevant law enforcement agencies, — the statement said.

As a reminder, in the Tashkent region, fraudsters, disguised as customs officers, deceived citizens for money. The criminals offered “confiscated” household appliances or clothing at low prices, took the money, and disappeared.
