In Tashkent, law enforcement officers detained a 51-year-old woman and her son who were heading for drugs hidden in a hiding place, the State Security Service press service reports.
According to the information, law enforcement officers stopped a car under preliminary surveillance on the route from Ohangaron to Pskent. Inside were a 51-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son, who were heading for the drugs hidden in the hiding place, their acquaintances from Tajikistan.
During the search, law enforcement officers confiscated their mobile phone and, after reviewing the correspondence, discovered that the suspects had been sent the drug’s geolocation and photos via Telegram messenger. During an operation in the Pskent district, law enforcement officers discovered a cache and seized 4 kg 985 grams of hashish.
Also, after searching the houses of suspects in the Almazar district of the capital, law enforcement officers found and seized another 1 kg 124 grams of opium and 1 kg 976 grams of hashish. As a result, law enforcement officers detained both relatives, as well as the woman’s second son, a 29-year-old previously convicted man, and initiated criminal proceedings against them. Currently, investigative actions are underway.
Earlier, it was reported that in Kashkadarya, 20 kg of drugs were found from a previously convicted man. The suspect was storing the prohibited substances for resale.
