A video circulated on social media showing a man killing his dog and then cutting it into meat. The Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs commented on the incident.
It turned out that the video was filmed in September 2025. The owner of the dog turned out to be a 27-year-old resident of the Sabo mahalla in the city of Yangiyul. Currently, law enforcement officers have detained the man.
Materials have been filed against him under Article 111 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (cruelty to animals), and a pre-trial investigation is underway. He faces a fine of 5 to 10 BCV or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
Recall that in Surkhandarya, a shepherd killed a wolf that attacked livestock. The wild animal belonged to protected species.
