Two individuals internationally wanted for large-scale fraud and human trafficking have been handed over to Interpol representatives at Tbilisi airport.

Law enforcement officers have uncovered the cross-border movements of wanted individuals who were detained in Georgia.

As a result of extensive work and established bilateral cooperation, during meetings and negotiations at Interpol’s international platforms, the National Central Bureaus of Tashkent and Tbilisi reached an agreement on the transfer of wanted persons to the Uzbek side, — the statement said.

With the support and at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan, based on the materials of the investigation, the request of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia to extradite the wanted persons was satisfied, who were brought to Tashkent and transferred to the internal affairs officers at the international airport for criminal prosecution.

Recall that an Uzbek citizen wanted for a serious crime was returned from Poland. Interpol officers participated in the apprehension of the criminal.
