In Uzbekistan, raids were conducted on pharmacies selling low-quality drugs
As a result, specialists identified eight organizations that were selling illegal foreign-made drugs.

In Uzbekistan, during raids, pharmacies selling counterfeit drugs of foreign production were identified, the press service of the Committee for Competition and Consumer Protection reports.
According to the information, specialists began an investigation after citizens complained that some pharmacies in the country are selling copies of foreign-made medicines without certificates and relevant documents. In this regard, the committee, together with the Center for the Safety of Medicines, conducted a control purchase in a number of pharmacies.
As a result, specialists identified one pharmacy in Namangan region, three in Andijan region, and four in Tashkent that were selling goods not registered in the state register and lacking quality certificates. All collected materials were sent by the committee’s employees to law enforcement agencies for appropriate action and seizure of the illegal drugs.
The department reminded citizens of the need to check the certificates of medicines before using them. Also, specialists emphasized that it is possible to check the relevant documents online, through the special electronic system of the Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products.
Earlier, it was reported that a pharmaceutical company in Uzbekistan was fined for violating advertising law. Specialists reminded that in advertisements for medications dispensed without a prescription, it is impossible to make claims about a guaranteed result.
