In Uzbekistan, law enforcement officers conducted raids on private clinics and identified cases of violation of legislation, as well as the provision of non-licensed services, the press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection reports.
According to the information, the department’s employees, together with NNOs, conducted raids to identify violations in the work of private medical institutions. It is noted that specialists conducted research in 7284 private clinics out of 8486 registered in the country.
As a result of inspections, it was revealed that in 2000 cases, no actual activities were carried out at the specified address. In 4483 cases, clinics did not provide price lists for services, and in 1460 cases, information was not indicated in the state language. Also, in 3,428 identified cases, clinics had outdoor advertising, and in 235 cases, on the contrary, had no signage.
Also, NNO representatives were able to establish that a clinic in Samarkand region, another 2 in Surkhandarya, 5 institutions in Tashkent, and one in Fergana regions provided services for which they did not have licenses. As a result, specialists gathered information on all identified cases and submitted documents to the responsible authorities for appropriate action.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan conducted raids on pharmacies selling low-quality drugs. As a result, specialists identified eight organizations that were selling illegal foreign-made drugs.
