In 2025, 849 accidents related to work activities were recorded in Uzbekistan, according to the State Labor Inspectorate press service.
Of the total number of accidents, 50 are group accidents, 583 are with severe consequences, and 216 are fatal. As a result of such incidents at work, 961 people were injured: 680 received serious injuries, 33 – minor injuries, and 248 people died.
Over the past year, the largest number of accidents occurred in construction (234), light industry (47), and transport (37). In terms of regions, the most accidents were recorded in Tashkent (153), Tashkent and Andijan (one by 75) regions, and the least in Khorezm and Surkhandarya (one by 16) regions.
Criminal cases have been initiated against 432 officials for violations of labor legislation that have led to grave consequences. 241 officials were brought to administrative responsibility.
As a reminder, labor protection services will begin to be implemented in Uzbekistan. There will be several requirements for employers.
