In the Tashkent Zoo, a visitor fed the emu a newspaper clipping — video
The officers gave the man a warning, but he ignored it and was fired for violating the rules of conduct.

On September 21, in the Tashkent Zoo, one of the visitors fed the emu a newspaper clipping, the zoo’s press service reports.
The deputy director of the Wildlife Care management company made a remark. However, the man, unfortunately, did not take the situation seriously and simply went further. Visitors had to be taken out of the zoo for violating the rules of conduct.
Currently, the disease is under the supervision of veterinarians. Necessary examinations are being conducted, and measures are being taken to prevent possible complications.
All animals, including the emu, are fed strictly according to the established diet. It is strictly forbidden to feed the emu with any food products or foreign objects. The specialized feed sold on the territory of the zoo is not intended for the emu, — the report says.
Visitors were also asked separately not to bring vegetables and fruits from home. They do not undergo laboratory tests and can harm the animal’s health.
As a reminder, the Gosha Gryffindor escaped from the Tashkent Zoo. The fugitive was tracked down and returned to his native enclosure.
