In the Andijan region, the company caused 31 billion soums in environmental damage

In the Andijan region, raids were conducted to identify companies operating in violation of environmental requirements, within the framework of which it was possible to establish a company that caused 31 billion soums in damage to nature, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology reports.

According to the information, specialists conducted an inspection of the enterprise, which operated on the territory of Bulakbashi district. It was revealed that the company had worked without developing a draft “Environmental Impact Statement”, as well as a positive conclusion of the state environmental expertise.

Also, law enforcement officers found that the enterprise was engaged in illegal extraction of soil from an unlimited territory outside the allocated licensed plot and caused 31 billion 921 million 145 thousand 350 sums of damage to nature. Additionally, law enforcement officers discovered that the company had not fulfilled its prescribed requirements for landscaping and greening its territory and adjacent plots under the “Yashil makon” and “Yashil belbog” programs, including planting deciduous trees around the plant to reduce dust levels and landscaping at least 25% of the territory.

As part of the inspection, law enforcement officers also discovered that in 2024 and the first eight months of 2025, the enterprise allowed waste disposal and storage in unauthorized locations, leading to environmental pollution, for which it was additionally charged a compensation payment of 7.76 billion soums. As a result, law enforcement officers collected the necessary documents for all identified violations and transferred them to the Prosecutor General’s Office for legal assessment and appropriate action.

Earlier, it was reported that residents of Tashkent complained about suffocating construction dust. The Ecology Department of the capital confirmed the fact of pollution, the owner of the construction company will be fined a small fine.
