In Termez, the case of a man who attempted to rape his daughter and molested another girl will be reviewed

In Termez, the case of a 51-year-old citizen who, while intoxicated, first harassed his minor daughter, and then a kindergarten girl, will be reviewed, reports the Nemolchi.uz project.

According to the information, the case will be reviewed by the cassation instance of the Criminal Cases Collegium of the Surkhandarya Regional Court. This situation became possible because on September 12, 2025, the Termez prosecutor’s office filed a petition to restore the deadline for filing a cassation appeal, and already on September 23, the deadline was restored.

This allowed the Termez City Prosecutor’s Office to file a corresponding protest with the court, which will be considered soon. The draft notes that if the document is approved, the Termez prosecutor’s office will begin a new investigation into the case.

It’s not excluded that he might be reclassified under Article 129 (16 years of age for immoral acts) or Article 118, 25 (Attempted rape), and for this, a more serious sentence is already provided. We hope that the authorized bodies will inform the public about the changes in the case.

It should be noted that the first incident occurred on September 23, 2024. The 51-year-old man returned home intoxicated and began harassing his daughter. The defendant divided the child and tried to rape her, however, the girl managed to break free and escape. After this, the child did not return home for several days, and only after this time did the girl tell her mother about what had happened.

The second case occurred later, on November 7, 2024. The man, again intoxicated, harassed the unfamiliar girl, touching her body parts and kissing her face. On this day, the boy was picked up from kindergarten by his mother’s younger brother. On November 12, 2024, the Termez City Criminal Court reviewed an administrative offense case under Articles 41-1 “Sexual harassment” and 183 “Petty hooliganism” against a man.
