In Tashkent region, law enforcement officers seized more than 50 kilograms of drugs

Law enforcement officers discovered prohibited substances in a hiding place in one of the agricultural fields.

In the Tashkent region, law enforcement officers stopped the import of 4.5 kg of hashish from a 54-year-old Kyrgyz citizen, the State Security Service press service reports.

According to the information, during control measures, law enforcement officers stopped a Cobalt car traveling on the Tashkent – Andijan route at the “Chinor” checkpoint in the Ohangaron district. During the inspection, law enforcement officers found 4 kg 897 g of hashish in a vehicle belonging to a 54-year-old Kyrgyz citizen.

Law enforcement officers determined that the offender had seized the prohibited substances from a hiding place equipped in one of the agricultural fields in the Bukhara district. During the inspection, law enforcement officers found another 45 kg 52 g of hashish at the site. Law enforcement officers discovered that the banned substances, with a total weight of almost 50 kg, were intended for transit through Uzbekistan from Afghanistan.

Law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case under Articles 246 (Smuggling) and 273 (Illegal manufacturing, acquisition, storage, and other actions with narcotic drugs for the purpose of sale) and detained the detainee.

Earlier in Tashkent, a police officer organized a narcotics laboratory in his office. Law enforcement officers searched the prevention inspector’s house, where they also found drugs buried in the ground.
