In the Tashkent region, law enforcement officers detained a mahalla official during the sale of land from the state fund, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
According to the information, a man holding the position of mahalla head in the Bostanlyk district promised to sell a house belonging to another person to his acquaintance for $150 thousand. Additionally, law enforcement officers discovered that part of the territory — specifically 1.3 hectares — belongs to the khokimiyat’s reserve fund.
During a special operation, law enforcement officers detained a man while receiving an advance payment of $50,000 from the agreed-upon amount. Law enforcement officers have initiated criminal proceedings against the man under Article 168 (Fraud). Currently, investigative actions are underway.
Earlier, it was reported that the head of the personnel department of the arbitration court in Surkhandarya was caught taking a bribe. The man asked for a thousand dollars to get his acquaintance a job through his connections.
