Footage circulated on social media showing unknown individuals patrolling apartments, introducing themselves as “Uzsuvtaminot” employees and attempting to break into the apartments. “Tashkent city water supply” commented on the situation.

According to the victims, two unknown citizens, who introduced themselves as employees of the department, conducted door-to-door trips and gathered information about how many people lived in the apartments. Also, claiming they were supposedly “from a laboratory”, unknown individuals attempted to break into the apartments. It is known that in one of the cases, a conflict occurred between the apartment owner and an unknown person.

“Tashkent city water supply” employees investigated the situation and, after completing the investigation, stated that the citizens captured on the video have no connection to the company and the reason for their visit to the homes is unknown. It is noted that similar cases were recorded in several districts of Tashkent, including Almazar and Yakkasaray.

Laboratory staff don’t come to homes on their own. If such a situation arises, then the laboratory staff will go only on the basis of the consumer’s appeal, and even then they will work together with the territorial inspectors. They present their official IDs and only with the permission of the homeowners take water samples and conduct laboratory tests, — the statement said.

To prevent such incidents and prevent their recurrence, the company plans to transfer information about the incident to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, it was reported that fraudsters in the Tashkent region were deceiving citizens with services for cashing out microloans. The criminals managed to steal more than a billion soums.
