In Tashkent, a young man and his girlfriend, who, while under the influence of drugs, organized a race with traffic police officers on the roads and damaged several cars, were sentenced, reports Millar.
According to the information, the incident occurred on April 19, 2025, in the Chilanzar district near the “Ippodrome”. Traffic police officers noticed a car without license plates and gave it a stop signal, but the driver ignored it and tried to escape. During the pursuit, the car crossed into the oncoming lane and hit five cars.
It was revealed that the car was being driven by a young woman who was driving without a driver’s license and was under the influence of psychotropic substances, as well as her acquaintance, whose car was registered as her father’s. The Chilanzar District Criminal Court found both guilty under Article 277, Part 3, Clause “g” (hooliganism).
As a result, the young man, taking into account the partial addition of the previously imposed sentence, was sentenced by the court to 5 years and 5 months of imprisonment, and the girl — to 4 years of restriction of freedom. The damage caused to the owners of the damaged vehicles has also been fully compensated.
Earlier, it was reported that in Navoi region, a drunk schoolboy organized a race with traffic police officers. His adult acquaintance, also intoxicated, drove the teenager’s car.
