A member of a criminal organization involved in cryptocurrency operations attempted to bribe a police officer.

In Tashkent, law enforcement officers stopped the activities of a cryptocurrency group, after which one of its participants attempted to bribe a law enforcement officer with $50,000, the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the information, the group of offenders included four participants who worked for the crypto exchange and an international online casino platform. The men filled and withdrew funds through the crypto platform. During the inspection, law enforcement officers confiscated more than 20 bank cards, a laptop, and four mobile phones from the offenders.
Further, during the preliminary investigation, one of the participants attempted to bribe a responsible officer of the Department of Internal Affairs in the amount of 50 thousand dollars, and after the man refused, the offender continued to insist. As a result, law enforcement officers caught him on the spot while transferring money. Law enforcement officers have initiated a criminal case against him under Article 211 (Giving a bribe).
Earlier, it was reported that underground crypto dealers were uncovered in Namangan. During the year, criminals conducted operations worth hundreds of millions of soums.
