On January 5, a video circulated on social media showing a man with a knife walking through a building’s entrance and knocking on people’s doors. The Main Directorate of Internal Affairs commented on the incident.

It turned out that the incident occurred at approximately 1:35 AM in a multi-story building in Tashkent’s Yashnabad district. A drunk man, holding a knife, was knocking on his neighbor’s door. Police officers detained the man.

In this case, administrative protocols were drawn up against the citizen under Articles 183 (Petty hooliganism), 185¹² (Carrying a bladed weapon or objects that can be used as a bladed weapon) and 194 (Failure to comply with the legal demands of an internal affairs officer).

The collected materials were sent to the Yashnabad District Criminal Court. The court sentenced this individual to administrative arrest. The length of the arrest has not been announced.

As a reminder, in Andijan, a drunk man stabbed a stranger to death and wounded his friend. The attacker has been taken into custody, and a criminal case has been opened.
