In Surkhandarya region, law enforcement officers caught the head of the personnel department of the arbitration court asking for a thousand dollars for help in finding employment, the press service of the State Security Service reports.

Law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case against the man under Article 168, Part 3, Clause “v” (Fraud using official position) and Article 211 through Article 28 (Participation in bribery) and arrested him. Investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, it was reported that in Bukhara, a hokim’s assistant demanded a bribe of $6 thousand for land registration. Law enforcement officers detained the man and took him into custody.
