In Surkhandarya, residents got into a fight while distributing coal

According to authorities, the quarrel was caused by the actions of individual citizens.

Footage appeared on social media showing discounted coal being distributed in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region, during which some citizens tried to pass without waiting in line, causing a fight. The district administration commented on the situation.

The incident occurred on October 8th at a coal warehouse in the Boshrabot neighborhood. 278 tons of coal were delivered to local residents for distribution during the autumn-winter season. Announcements for sale at affordable prices were posted in the Telegram groups of the mahallas.

Due to individual citizens who tried to pass out of turn, a fight broke out. Law enforcement officers who were nearby settled the situation, after which the distribution of coal was put in order. The authorities stated that coal will continue to be distributed strictly according to a schedule and under the supervision of law enforcement. Priority will be given to residents of remote and mountainous areas.

To prepare for the 2025-2026 autumn-winter season, it is planned to deliver only more than 3 thousand tons of coal to the Boysun district. To date, the population has already received 1.3 thousand tons. Appropriate measures have been taken to ensure the timely distribution of the remaining volume, and if necessary, additional batches.
