In Samarkand, traffic police officers caught a drunk driver of a scooter without a license — video

An administrative report was filed against the citizen, and the vehicle was sent to the impound lot.

In the Samarkand region, traffic police officers detained a drunk driver of a scooter without a license, the press service of the regional State Traffic Safety Department reports.

The incident occurred in the Jomboy district. Law enforcement officers stopped the scooter driver, who turned out to have no driver’s license with him. Additionally, traffic police officers suspected the man of being intoxicated and tested him using an alcohol tester. The test confirmed the fact of alcohol intoxication.

I drank a couple of glasses of beer. I knew it wasn’t allowed. I advise moped and scooter drivers not to drive without a license. And not to drink, of course, — said the driver.

Traffic police officers drew up administrative protocols against the man under the relevant articles. The vehicle was sent to the impound lot.

Earlier, Uzbekistanis were reminded to have documents when driving mopeds and scooters. The innovation came into force on October 1. Driving mopeds and scooters is permitted only after state registration and with an “A” category driver’s license.
