In Samarkand, a man was imprisoned for not paying alimony for his father

In the Samarkand region, a man was detained for evading alimony payments for his father for 15 days, the Prosecutor General’s Office press service reports.
According to the department, by the decision of the Payariq Interdistrict Civil Court, he was assigned to transfer 50% of his monthly income to his father’s benefit. Despite repeated warnings, he did not fulfill his obligations.
The case materials were transferred to the court. The Akdarya District Court sentenced the man to 15 days of administrative arrest under Article 47-5 (Evasion of Parental Support) of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
Recall that in Fergana, a man stabbed his wife and daughter over alimony. A dispute arose between the spouses, which ended in tragedy. The injured woman and child, despite the doctors’ efforts, died in the hospital. The Enforcement Bureau commented on the NOVA24 situation.
