In Samarkand, a man and a woman attempted to transport a corpse in a baby car to a cemetery

In Samarkand, a man and a woman were carrying the body of a man in a carriage, which they had hidden in a bag. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The incident occurred around 5:30 am on August 24th in the “Navbogchiyon” neighborhood. The neighborhood chairman noticed two citizens. He opened a suspicious bag covered with empty eggplants and found the body of a 53-year-old man.

According to them, the deceased was the sister’s husband, who allegedly came to their house and passed away, and they decided to take his body to a relative. However, the mahalla chairman stopped them on the way to the cemetery. A man and a woman tried to escape, but were detained.

The investigative-operational group established signs of violent death. A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees under Article 97, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Intentional Homicide). An investigation is underway.
