In Khorezm, a prevention inspector demanded $1,000 to investigate the case
The injured man appealed to the police with a complaint about his partner who had embezzled money from their joint venture.
Law enforcement officers in the Khorezm region detained a prevention inspector for accepting a $1,000 bribe, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It turned out that a citizen had appealed to the man with a complaint about his partner’s partner. The man said that the documents of their joint private company had forged signatures, which allowed his partner to steal the income. The prevention inspector promised to investigate the situation and demanded $1000.
Law enforcement officers apprehended a man while receiving money during an operation in Khiva. The Khorezm regional prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case against the man under Article 168 (Fraud committed using official position) of the Criminal Code, Part 3, Clause “v”, and Article 211 (Giving a bribe) of the Criminal Code. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect.
Earlier, it was reported that a district deputy khokim was caught taking a large bribe in Andijan. The official suggested to the citizen to illegally register a plot of land.
