In Fergana, law enforcement officers threatened a farmer with a pistol and used force against him — video

The Department of Internal Affairs officers accused the citizen of not fulfilling the grain delivery plan.

In the Fergana region, a farmer complained that law enforcement officers came to his house, threatened him with a pistol, and used physical force, Kun reports.

The incident occurred in the Rishtan district. According to available information, on July 7, police officers visited the head of the “Buloqboshi gulshani” farm. They threatened the resident with a pistol and used physical force, accusing him of failing to fulfill the grain delivery plan.

I had just returned from the field where I fertilized the cotton. I went home to change my clothes. Three employees followed me in. One of them, the district police officer Golib Tulanov, pointed a pistol at me and started yelling, I’ll kill you! They twisted my hands and tried to take me away. My mother, who is 70 years old, tried to intervene, but she was roughly pushed away, and she fell and lost consciousness. She was in the hospital for a week. I fulfilled the plan, delivered 17 tons of grain, and didn’t hide anything, — the farmer said.

The man also said that another of his colleagues was also detained in the area. He was imprisoned for 5 days allegedly for not handing over the cotton fertilizer spraying equipment to the hokimiyat. In turn, Rishton district governor Bahodir Kholikov, in a conversation with journalists, stated that the police officers did not use weapons or threaten the farmer.

Everyone has obligations to the state. The farmer is obliged to fulfill the grain and cotton plan. The staff went to explain this. No weapons or electric shock were used. I haven’t seen the video that’s spreading on social media yet. The final conclusions can be drawn after studying the materials and video recordings,” he said.

Recall that in Uzbekistan, the punishment for disobeying employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard has been strengthened. According to the senators, citizens have become less obedient to law enforcement demands.
